I love this cute purse pattern and it makes up quick.  Those are actually pleats.  I used the same black fabric that I did on the handle of the purse for the inside of the pleats.  It has a snap closure and two pockets inside.
I have been busy sewing some American Girl doll clothes.  Here is a peak at what I have finished.  I am going to be taking these over to A UNIQUE HOUSE to sell, where I have a booth.  It is in King George, Virginia.
I really enjoy making this size doll clothes and there are so many different patterns for the American Girl Doll.  The doll in the photo is not an authentic American Girl Doll but rather one I purchased from A.C. Moore's Art and Craft store.  She has a vinyl head and cloth body.

Martha Stewart's Stamp around the Page set

A friend gave me this neat gift for Christmas.  We just got together yesterday and exchanged gifts.  I will say your measurements have to be really good both in cutting and lining up your stamps.  But it sure gives a WOW factor.  I am using it to make cards but doing it on a 12 x 12 scrapbook page would be terrific.  You have to work in 2" increments starting at 4".  So it can be square or rectangular.  6x6" or 6x8", etc.  These are some examples that I have played around with so far.  The first image shows combining two stamps to make one pretty card layer. If you look closely at the brown design you will see that it didn't match up exactly.  This is where I might have not cut perfectly.  I say this because it is only on the lower side.
You stamp with the corner stamps first on all 4 corners.  Then exchange stamps for the matching border one.  Line up the corner designs on the template and stamp the border in between.  The directions are very good you just need to do it once or twice to get the hang of it.  Now I can't wait to put something in the center of these and see how they make into a card.

I am giving sets of greeting cards to friends for Christmas and needed something to hold them. I think this will work out great. I plan on putting a few cards with matching envelopes on each side of this folder. Very easy to make, too.

An other version of above card.  Both cards are A2 ( 5 1/2 x 4 1/4") size cards.  Top layer is 4 1/4 x 3 1/8 with the bottom edge punched.  Any border punch will do.  The decorative paper is 2 1/8 x 3 3/4".  The ribbon is cut at about 8" with an other smaller piece cut and tied about 2 1/" from one end.  The 8" ribbon is taped to the back of the top layer then.  The top layer is foam mounted.  I found this in an old CardMaker November 2010 magazine.
